DES MOINES · PROJECT GUIDE

Plan a granite vanity from a remnant

Start with your vanity shape, then record the piece dimensions and installed scope you need confirmed.

Sketch the vanity and sink position

Draw the vanity from above. Mark the sink, exposed edges and any backsplash you want to discuss. Label your dimensions as preliminary. The person making the countertop must confirm the final dimensions and fabrication requirements.

Ask for usable piece dimensions and condition

Ask for the usable dimensions of the actual piece, its material and any condition that affects the planned shape. A piece being listed as available does not settle whether it fits your vanity. Record the piece ID and any hold terms.

Separate material, fabrication and installation in the quote

Ask for a written breakdown of stone, fabrication, sink cutout and installation. Check the minimum project charge and whether the quoted scope is pickup, delivery or installed work. Your notes should make those choices easy to find.

Keep the next step clear.

Use your checklist to keep open decisions beside the work they affect. Confirm the complete scope and price before booking.

YOUR NEXT STEP

Get your countertop plan ready.

Start with your room sketch. Add your stone ideas and the work you need around the countertop.
